Admissions for Academic Year 2009-2010

School tours are conducted every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (no appointment necessary), from September 2, 2008, through May 19, 2009.
 

Cornerstone will offer two admissions decision rounds for students applying for admission for the 2009-2010 school year.  Available spaces in each class are reviewed after returning families have submitted contracts.  Sibling applications are given special consideration, though not automatic acceptance.  Families should apply by the first-round deadline to ensure full consideration.

First-Round Applications

markerCompleted applications must be submitted by February 9, 2009 to be considered in the first round of decisions by the Admissions Committee.
markerNotification of admission decisions will be sent out no later than March 23, 2009.

Second-Round Applications

markerCompleted applications being considered for the second round of decisions must to be submitted by March 30, 2009.
markerNotification of admissions decision will be sent out no later than May 11, 2009.

Subject to availability, we have a rolling admissions process in some grades for the 2008/2009 academic year. The admissions committee will be meeting only twice throughout the summer, once in June and once in August. If you are interested in applying, all paperwork must be complete and into the school office in order for the committee to review the application. Completed applications received by June 20th will be reviewed and a decision will be given by June 27th. Applications received by August 4th will be reviewed and a decision made by August 8th

A Complete Application File Consists of the Following Items:

markerThe application. Each section of the application form must be filled out completely and the form signed.

markerThe $50 application fee.

markerThe teacher evaluation form. This form should be signed and dated by the parent or guardian and given to the child’s current teacher to fill out and return to the Cornerstone admissions office by the deadline date.

markerCopies of the child’s latest and previous-year report cards.

markerA copy of the child’s latest testing results (FCAT, SAT 9, etc.).

markerIf you wish to apply for financial assistance, the worksheet must be completed and mailed separately to:
