Cornerstone Learning Community has grown from a small preschool gathered in a tiny,
leased building, to a community of over 150 preschool, elementary, and middle school
learners housed in innovative education buildings on a beautiful eight-acre campus
in Northwest Tallahassee.
Shaped by national and international curriculum standards and led by professional
and highly credentialed teachers, Cornerstone's academic program honors the unique
gifts and needs of each learner, while upholding high standards for all students.
Complementing Cornerstone's academic program are our core beliefs that students
develop character through service to their community, that teachers should lead
the school’s academic program, and that a diverse school community enriches our
children’s learning experience and personal development.
Cornerstone's ability to put its philosophy into practice has been made possible
through generous gifts by supporters of Cornerstone's vision, with more than $1.8
million dollars in donations allowing us to build and operate our current campus
without debt.

As Cornerstone continues to grow and flourish, our needs for additional learning
space have also grown. Plans are underway to add two essential buildings to our
campus that will house three middle school classrooms, a media center, and a performing
arts auditorium. The expanded campus will allow us to enhance our academic programs
and better meet the needs of our students and extend the benefits of Cornerstone
to more children in our community. An ambitious Capital Campaign is scheduled to
begin in the fall to raise the $2 million needed to make this vision a reality.
At this point, the Capital Campaign Committee has received over $100,000 in gifts
and pledges toward its goal.
Cornerstone Learning Community admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all
the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available
to students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions
policy, scholarship and loan programs, and the athletic and other school-administered
programs.
